The Green Valley Council (GVC) is excited to announce that two COVID 19 vaccination PODs will be coming to Green Valley next week. A collaborative effort between the GVC, Pima County, Green Valley Fire District, Premier Medical Group, Santa Cruz Valley Regional Hospital, Green Valley Sheriff’s Auxiliary, and the Community Performing Arts Center has resulted in 3,000 vaccines being allocated to two different vaccination sites here in Green Valley.
The first site will be located at the Santa Cruz Valley Regional Hospital and the second at the Community Performing Arts Center at 1250 W. Continental Rd. These PODs will be open from 8am to 5pm, Wednesday, February 3rd through February 5th, and will be focused on vaccinating those individuals 75 years and older. You must be registered to receive a vaccine. To register please go to https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov and set up a new account. For registration assistance, you can contact the help line at
844-542-8201. Future POD dates will be announced based on the availability of the vaccine.
“I am very excited to have these two sites opening right here in Green Valley. We have been working hard with our community partners and Pima County to make this happen, and we are grateful to be getting this allocation,” said Debbie Kenyon, President of the GVC. “We are hopeful that we can continue to supply these vaccination sites as the County works to increase its vaccine allocations from the State.”
