As the community voice for Green Valley, The Council is diligent about who it endorses and partners with. Prompted by some confusion about the company, we decided to do additional research about the company’s negative comments that we found on Better Business Bureau.
Service Line Warranties of America and its parent company, HomeServe, are proud of their A+ ratings with the BBB. The BBB notes that the relatively small number of complaints (300 over the last 3 years) for a company the size of SLWA/HomeServe (3 million customers with millions of interactions and 1.1 million repairs over the same 3 year period) is one of the positive factors contributing to the A+ rating. Service Line Warranties of America and HomeServe take each customer concern seriously and work to resolve the issues to the customer’s satisfaction. More people do tend to leave a negative review than positive ones. Our Customer Advocacy Team reviews these negative reviews constantly and strives to make them right.
HomeServe sends out surveys to all customers after they complete a survey. They do track all of these and our overall rating is 97%. When someone submits a low score, they resolve to make it right as fast as they can. Most of the confusion comes from residents not reading the letter and getting upset when they think they are getting a bill from the city, but it’s not. That’s why they added all the additional language and “in partnership with SLWA” to the letters to make this clear.
We have also acted as a community liaison with the company and will continue to do so in case of a negative experience so that we can get it resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
