WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THE ROADMAP?small bird1

Goohomerd News, Bad News.   The good first – we are off to a good start with submissions from various community members about activities in Green Valley that support our Roadmap.  There is nothing like real data to test a brand new system and webpage!    However,  now the bad news – we have realized that we have not allowed enough room on this page to truly ‘showcase’ the activities and give them the attention they deserve – so we are reformatting this page to allow more room to display community stories.   Give us a couple of weeks to accomplish this redesign – then you should see events and images of activities taking place in the community as they are submitted. light-bulb

Many of you have also submitted suggestions on how to make this system better – and we both appreciate it and are listening.  As we work on the next iteration of the Roadmap Implementation Tracking System (RITS), we will incorporate these ideas as soon as practical.   One such suggestion was to allow for multiple event reporting from the same activity – so one does not have to type the
same info over and over.  Another was to have a ‘span of dates’ ability, and not just a single date.   We are working on both of these – look for these changes soon!

SUMMER PHOTO CONTEST

trendfall2014 (1)_Page_3

During the summer solstice, a single dagger of light strikes the middle of the largest of two spirals carved on sandstone slabs in Chaco Culture National Historical Park (Chaco Canyon, New Mexico). At the winter solstice, two daggers of light appear, one at each end of the spiral. [www.solsticeproject.org/pdf/Trendfall2014.pdf]
