Steve Christy presented his Just Fix the Roads Plan to the Rotary Club on October 10, 2017. A resolution to support Steve Christy’s plan was approved on October 19 at the GVC Board of Reps meeting. If you would like to personally support Steve’s plan, a contact list link is below.
The Year One and Year Two recommendations which the GVC Executive Board accepted on October 11, 2017 and will be presented the Board of Representatives on October 19, 2017, .
TAC has been charged by the Pima County Administrator consisting of 2 members from each District. After being made aware of The Green Valley Council’s organized efforts, Chair Lucretia Free, District 4, declared that Green Valley would be given the same chance as incorporated towns to present to the TAC which roads are to be considered priority roads. GVC will represent all of Green Valley on October 10th. Our road prioritization subcommittee has been hard at work over the summer evaluating our roads to see which of them need attention first.

HOA with Pima County Roads
Beginning in the fall of 2016, HOAs with Pima County–owned roads, which have been waiting years for needed road repair and maintenance, have had the opportunity to decide whether to continue to wait or act on a self-help option to set up an Improvement District.
Learn the Facts about an Improvement District
Homeowners who are interested in learning more about how an Improvement District could be set up will be able to attend informational workshops. These workshops, sponsored by the Human Relations and the Traffic & Arroyo committees, will be held throughout the fall. Representatives from Pima County will attend the workshops to explain how the County can assist in establishing an Improvement District and answer questions raised by the participants.
Please email info@gvcouncil.org if you are interested in coordinating a meeting with GVC and Pima County to get more information on how this process will work with your HOA.
HOAs can request a workshop be held specifically for their homeowners. At least 51% of the homeowners must vote in support of this self-help option. To help defray costs, HOAs that are adjacent to one another may be able to join together to form a larger Improvement District.
